What to send with your enquiry.

Send what you have. A tech pack gets you a costing fastest, but a sketch or a photo of a garment you like is enough to start, and our sample room can build the pattern and tech pack for you.

How to write a tech pack, with a free template

What goes into a garment price

  • Tech pack, sketch or photos of a reference garment
  • Fabric composition and weight, if you know it
  • Quantity per style and colour
  • Size range and the country you sell in
  • Decoration: print, embroidery, labels, packaging
  • Target price and delivery window

What information do you need to quote a clothing order?

The more complete your brief, the more accurate the first costing. Ideally send a tech pack or a reference garment, the fabric composition and weight you want, your quantity per style and colour, the size range, your market, and any decoration such as print, embroidery or special labels. Tell us your target price and delivery window too: if either is impossible we will say so immediately rather than waste a fortnight. If you only have sketches or photographs, send those; our sample room can build the pattern and a working tech pack, and you approve both before any bulk fabric is bought. Large files are easiest as a Google Drive, Dropbox or WeTransfer link. If you need an NDA in place before sharing designs, ask for one in your first message and we will sign before you send anything.

How long does it take to get a price?

We reply within one working day, Saturday to Thursday, Bangladesh time. What you get back depends on how complete your brief is. With a tech pack, fabric details and quantities, that first reply is usually a costing. With a sketch or a photograph, it is a short list of questions, because a price given without knowing fabric weight, construction and quantity is a guess that will change later. Quotes that need a fabric price from a mill, a wash trial or a laboratory test can take a few days longer; we tell you when that is the case rather than leaving you waiting. Every quote states what is included, which shipping term it assumes, and what would change the number. If you need a costing for a funding application or a range plan, say so and we will flag which figures are indicative.

Do you sign non-disclosure agreements before seeing designs?

Yes, and we recommend it. Ask for an NDA in your first message and we will sign yours, or send you a short mutual agreement, before you share anything. Your patterns, artwork, tech packs, fit comments and costings are never shown to another buyer and never used to make similar products for someone else. When your order goes into a partner factory we pass on only the technical information needed to make the garment, and the factory is bound by the same confidentiality terms. Physical samples and sealed garments stay in our sample room under your name. If you would rather keep the design itself back at the enquiry stage, send a description, fabric details and quantities instead: that is usually enough for an indicative price, and the detail can follow after the NDA is in place.
