Woven shirt and trouser manufacturer in Bangladesh

Woven factories in Dhaka, Gazipur and Chattogram make shirts and trousers for many of the world’s biggest high-street brands. We source yarn-dyed and piece-dyed shirting and manage the fine details: collar fusing, pattern matching and pressing.

Woven shirts and bottoms: common questions.

Can checks and stripes be matched across pockets and plackets?

Yes. Pattern matching is what separates a well-made check or stripe shirt from a cheap one, and it is planned from the first sample. The cutting layout places pockets, plackets, yokes and collars so the pattern lines up with the body, which uses more fabric than a random layout. We record the matching points on the approved sample, and the factory cuts matched parts individually or in carefully aligned lays rather than stacking many layers. Our inline inspectors check matching on the first garments from each line and throughout production. Fabric affects the result as well: yarn-dyed checks with even repeats match more easily than prints or fabrics that skew during finishing. We check the repeat size and straightness of incoming fabric, because a skewed roll cannot be matched properly however carefully it is cut.

Do you offer non-iron and easy-care shirts?

Yes. Non-iron and easy-care shirts use a resin finish that helps cotton fibres recover from creasing after washing, so the shirt needs little or no ironing. The finish is applied to the fabric or, for the best performance, to the finished garment, and then cured with heat. Performance is rated with a smoothness test after washing, and the level you need depends on what your customers expect. Resin finishes must be controlled carefully, because they can release formaldehyde if applied incorrectly. We test finished shirts for formaldehyde against the limits in your market and your retailer’s requirements, and check for strength loss, since resin treatments can weaken cotton. Seam puckering is another common issue with easy-care shirts, so thread, stitch tension and seam construction are adjusted for the finish during sampling.
