We start from your artwork and brand colours, choose the elastic width, stretch and recovery that suit the style, and the elastic supplier weaves a strike-off for approval. Colour matching needs care, because elastic yarns take dye differently from the body fabric, so we approve the waistband and fabric together. Custom elastic has its own setup and minimum runs, which is why a custom waistband adds development time to a first order. After approval, we test stretch and recovery after repeated washing, because a waistband that loses tension quickly is the most common complaint about underwear.
