Three garments, three fabric families
Joggers and sweat shorts are cut from the same fleece or French terry as a hoodie, so a matching set is a matter of using the same stock fabric and shade. Leggings need a four-way stretch knit, typically nylon-elastane or polyester-elastane, chosen for recovery and opacity when stretched, and sewn with flatlock or coverstitch seams that do not chafe. Woven shorts, in a poplin or twill, are a different construction again with a fly, pockets and a waistband with a facing. On a 100-piece run each comes from the partner’s stock in that family.
Waistbands, rises and the measurements that decide fit
A bottom is fitted at the waist, the rise and the inseam, and each has to be stated per size. The waistband is the first decision: an elasticated band with an internal drawcord, a flat wide band for leggings, a ribbed cuff at the ankle or an open hem. The rise, front and back, decides whether the garment sits high or low and how it behaves when the wearer sits. The inseam sets the length and the taper the silhouette. All of it is on the sealed sample, measured against your size chart before cutting.

Grading and size ratios on 100 pieces
Bottoms are graded at the waist, hip and inseam, and a size chart that ignores the hip produces leggings that fit at the waist and not below it. On 100 pieces across five sizes, quantities per size are small, so a ratio weighted to your core sizes is agreed at the start, and the pre-production sample is checked at the base size and at one end of the range.
Decoration
A small embroidered logo on the hip or thigh, a screen-printed wordmark down a leg, or a woven label at the waistband are the usual choices; heat-transfer labels suit leggings where a sewn label would irritate. Samples, approval and delivery
A fit sample first, worn and adjusted, then a pre-production sample in the bulk fabric with waistband, drawcord and labels in place, approved and sealed. Production with inline checks and a final inspection follows, and delivery is DDP to your door in about 40–50 days door to door as one landed cost. A matching top and bottom are sampled together so the shades match from the same stock lot.

Can I make matching hoodies and joggers as a set at 100 pieces each?
Yes, and it is the most common way a small brand builds a first range. The hoodie and the jogger are cut from the same fleece or French terry, so using the same stock fabric and shade for both gives a matching set without a custom dye lot; we sample the two together so the shades are checked against each other from the same fabric lot, and we cut them from the same lot in production. Each style carries its own minimum of 100 pieces per colour, so a set in one colour is two 100-piece styles, and a set in two colours is four. The rib for cuffs and waistbands is matched to the body fabric shade as well, which is a detail blanks-based sets often get wrong. Tell us the set at the enquiry stage rather than ordering the pieces separately, so the fabric booking, sampling and size ratios are planned as one programme.
What fabric should leggings be made from, and can I get them at 100 pieces?
Leggings need a four-way stretch knit that recovers its shape and stays opaque when stretched, which in practice means a nylon-elastane or polyester-elastane fabric of around 200–300 GSM rather than a cotton jersey; cotton leggings bag at the knee and go sheer over the hip. Nylon-elastane feels softer and suits yoga and studio wear; polyester-elastane wicks better and takes sublimation print, which suits training and running. Seams are flatlock or coverstitch so nothing chafes, the waistband is a wide flat band with or without an internal elastic, and a gusset at the crotch improves fit and durability. At 100 pieces per style and colour the fabric comes from the partner’s stock stretch knits, which cover the usual weights in the usual shades; a custom colour or a printed fabric needs a larger run. How do you get the rise and inseam right on a small run?
By stating them as numbers per size in the tech pack and measuring the sample against them before anything is cut. The front rise and back rise decide where the waistband sits and how the garment behaves when the wearer sits or bends; the inseam sets the length; the taper from thigh to hem sets the silhouette; and the hip measurement, which many first size charts leave out, is what stops a legging fitting at the waist and nowhere else. The fit sample is worn and adjusted first, then the pre-production sample is made in the bulk fabric and measured at the base size and at one end of the range, because grading errors show at the extremes. If you do not have a size chart, send a garment whose fit you like and we measure it and grade from it.
