Spain applies EU rules: Bangladeshi clothing enters duty-free under Everything But Arms with a REX statement on origin, through the transition to November 2029. Valencia, Barcelona and Algeciras are the usual ports for sea freight from Chattogram.

Textile EPR: what is coming
Spain’s waste law, Law 7/2022, committed the country to extended producer responsibility for textiles, and the EU has since made textile EPR compulsory across member states through Directive (EU) 2025/1892. A Spanish draft royal decree for textile and footwear EPR was published in June 2025 and notified to the European Commission in May 2026, opening a standstill period.
The draft is expected to cover manufacturers, importers, distributors and online sellers placing textiles on the Spanish market, including sellers based outside Spain, with obligations to register, join a compliance scheme and fund collection and recycling. Plan for it now: the data needed is the same fibre and weight data we already keep per style.

Do clothing labels for Spain have to be in Spanish?

In practice that means the composition appears using the Spanish fibre names with accurate percentages, and it is checked against the fabric test report before bulk labels are printed.
